Green Tea and Rhumatoid Arthritis
There is an article about green tea and rhumatoid arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis) in this magazine called HnV (health'n Vitality, Issue 49).
Here is what the article says:
Here's yet another reason to include Green Tea in your diet. Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG), a Green Tea
polyphenol, may help prevent inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis. According to a study presented at the Experimental Biology 2007 conference in Washington, DC, EGCG suppressed the
pro-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-1 beta in a culture of joint tissue cells. The compound requires further testing, but given Green Tea's antioxidant benefits, you may want to add Green Tea extract to your other supplements.
When you have problems with arthritis, your joints and/or muscle tissue get inflammed. Green tea and arthritis go well together because green tea will help to reduce the inflammation. I have problems with arthritis myself.
Inflammation is really bad and sugar increases inflammation in your body. While you drink Green Tea, reduce sugar in your diet. If you can, eliminate it.
Now that I have lowered my intake of sugar and almost eliminated it, I don't fall asleep at work after lunch and I don't have pains in my joints at all.
Increase your Green Tea and lower your sugar.
If you have any questions about Green Tea, Let me know.
I enjoy talking about Green Tea. The supplement I use, I get the equivalent of 5 cups of Green Tea in 1 oz.
